Discussing cooperation between QOU and the Palestine Institute for National Security Research

The President of Al Quds Open University, Prof.  Younes Amr discussed with a delegation from the Palestine Institute for National Security Research ways of cooperation between the two sides.

Prof. Younes Amr, pointed out that Al-Quds Open University is ready to cooperate in various fields with the Institute. Dr. Nayef Jarrad, Director General of the Palestine Institute for National Security Studies, said that the Institute aims to produce qualitative studies related to national security and it  submits papers to decision-makers in order to rationalize national policies and raise awareness and level of knowledge in national security issues, develop the capabilities of the employees of the security establishment, and raise security awareness at home through the provision of courses and programs related to national security.

Dr. Jarrad added: "Al Quds Open University is a distinctive scientific edifice representing the entire country," adding that the areas of work of the Institute intersect with the work of the University.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Samir Al-Najdi, Vice-President of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Marwan Darwish for Administrative affairs, Dr. Issam Khalil for Financial Affairs, Prof. Mohammed Shaheen, the Assistant of the University President for Students’ Affairs, Dr. Imad Hodali  for Public and International Relations and Media Affairs, Dr. Alaa Al-Shakhshir for Follow-up Affairs, Dr. Hosny Awad Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Tarek Al Mabrouk Director of Human Resources Department. While from the Institute; the meeting was attended by Major General Habis Sharouf, Deputy Director of the Institute, Mr. Barakat Falah, Director of the Administrative Affairs and Public Relations Unit, Dr. Yasser Abdullah, Director of the Monitoring and Documentation Unit, Mr. Ahmed Nazzal, Director of the Training and Education Unit, Ismail Nabali Office Manager of the Director's Office.
