Al-Quds Open University (QOU) participated in the International Conference on Data Processing and Networks (ICDPN-2025), held virtually in cooperation with the Institute of Technology and Business in Prague. The University was represented by Dr. Mahmoud Hawamdeh, Director of the Yatta Branch.
It is worth noting that (ICDPN-2025) is recognized as one of the prominent Scopus-indexed international conferences, bringing together leading scholars and experts from around the world to discuss the latest developments in computing, data processing, and network technologies.
During the event, Dr. Hawamdeh delivered a presentation titled “Digital Platforms for Lifelong Learning: Models for Skills Development in the Age of AI.” In his talk, he shed light on global shifts in continuing education, the expanding role of intelligent digital platforms, and the transition from traditional academic degrees to practical, digitally verified skills. He also explored how AI-driven adaptive learning can personalize educational pathways, emphasizing the need to maintain strong ethical standards while ensuring educators remain at the heart of the learning experience.
Dr. Hawamdeh further highlighted the importance of promoting digital equity by broadening access to online learning platforms, offering multilingual resources, and designing culturally responsive learning environments that serve diverse communities.
He concluded with a call to move toward comprehensive learning ecosystems built on meaningful partnerships between universities, government institutions, the private sector, and local communities affirming that lifelong learning is essential for human development and for strengthening the knowledge-based economy.
