Al-Quds Open University Researcher Among the Most Cited Arab Scholars in Education for 2025

 In a scientific achievement that adds to the record of Al-Quds Open University’s academic excellence, the Arab Citation and Impact Factor (ARCIF) database has listed Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shaheen, faculty member at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, among the top most-cited Arab researchers in the field of education for 2025.

Prof. Shaheen ranked 14th (tied) according to the H-index (8), out of 27,100 Arab authors whose research in educational sciences has been cited, based on a comprehensive study that included more than 364,000 Arab authors across various disciplines, according to ARCIF’s 2012–2023 report.

The President of Al-Quds Open University, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sha’er, commended this accomplishment, affirming that QOU takes pride in its academic excellence and in the achievements of its researchers who continue to elevate the University’s name in Arab and international academic circles. He added that this distinction reflects the University’s policies in promoting rigorous scientific research, supporting quality academic publishing, and strengthening the University’s presence in international scholarly databases.

The tenth ARCIF report covers data from over 5,500 Arab scientific journals issued by more than 1,500 academic and research institutions across Arab countries and a number of Islamic and Western states, highlighting the growing impact of Arab scientific research and its increasing visibility in the global academic landscape.
