QOU Graduate Milhem Wins National Quality Award and Competes for the European Quality Label

 Ni'am H. Milhem, a graduate of the Educational Qualification Diploma Program at Al-Quds Open University has been awarded the National Quality Label and qualified to compete for the prestigious European Quality Label for her outstanding project within the eTwinning initiative titled “Community Champions – Empowering Students Through Volunteering.”

The eTwinning program is one of the European Union's educational initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation among schools across different countries through a safe digital platform that enables teachers and students to implement joint educational projects. These projects foster digital skills and promote cultural and intellectual exchange. Milhem’s project focuses on instilling the values of volunteering among students and strengthening their role as active citizens through cross-border collaborative and voluntary activities.

President of Al-Quds Open University, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shaer, congratulated Ms. Milhem on her exceptional performance and achievement, describing it as a new milestone in the University’s long list of successes. Prof. Al-Shaer expressed pride in the participation of QOU students and graduates in both local and international arenas, raising Palestine’s name high and striving for more accomplishments. He further affirmed that “supporting talented students across all disciplines is a top priority for the University’s leadership.”

For his part, Dr. Tareq Mabrouk, Director of the Tulkarm Branch, highlighted the importance of involving students and graduates in local and international competitions to showcase their academic and intellectual capabilities. He noted that “Ms. Milhem’s achievement is further proof that Palestinian women can excel and lead in diverse fields,” congratulating her on this success and wishing her continued achievements. Ms. Milhem stated that this accomplishment is the result of the University's continuous support and the strength of its academic system, which “shapes our scientific and intellectual abilities and nurtures our skills.” She extended her gratitude to QOU for its unwavering support, which enabled her to win the National Quality Label and qualify for the European Quality Label competition for her project “Community Champions – Empowering Students Through Volunteering.”
