QOU won the 2nd. place in the e-Learning Excellence Award at the 22nd European Conference on e-Learning. This recognition was attained at the aforementioned conference held at a university in South Africa between the 25th and 26th of October 2023. The initiative, titled 'Comprehensive E-Learning: Mobile Education Center,' won the second place in a competition against 14 initiatives from various countries worldwide in the realm of e-learning. It's noteworthy that this global award is conferred annually by the European Conference on E-Learning.

The university team, composed of the "Continuing Education and Community Service Center" and "the Center for Digital Learning" prepared and presented this initiative amidst 14 others on the first day of the conference before a judging panel comprised of experts in e-learning from the United Kingdom, France, and South Africa. QOU's initiative qualified on the first day among three initiatives, following which the university's team delivered a presentation to the judging committee on the second day, resulting in the announcement of the university's initiative obtaining the second place.

Dr. Mahmoud Hawamdeh, Director of the Continuing Education Center emphasized, "This initiative focuses on the role of the Mobile Education Center in delivering e-learning services to students and communities in marginalized areas in Palestine, especially in areas (C), which lack infrastructure such as electricity and internet. The Mobile Education Center, represented by two equipped trucks with computer labs, internet access, and powered by generators, aims to provide digital educational resources and e-learning platforms to students in villages in the southern Hebron, Tubas, and the Northern Jordan Valley. These resources are intended for use in universities, schools, or for the enhancement of their skills through training courses in entrepreneurship, employment, facilitated via e-learning platforms."
