This meeting comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance education and stimulate interest in the STEAM approach in educational institutions, especially schools. The meeting session focused on the university’s role in disseminating strategies for applying the STEAM approach and training cadres from inside and outside the university to implement activities and projects that adopt this approach.
It is worth noting that Al-Quds Open University is collaborating with Al-Quds University - Abu Dis on a long-term project to "develop a national STEAM strategy in the State of Palestine," which is funded by UNICEF and aims to develop a policy paper and training guides to integrate the STEAM approach into Palestinian curricula.
QOU , and in continuation of its participation in strengthening the principles and philosophy of the STEAM approach, also held a summer camp in Jerusalem in partnership with Burj al Luq Luq, the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) and the Ministry of Education, which included many STEAM and “robotics” activities with the support of the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel).
