. The students Yusef Fayez Hamida; Hamza Ismail Al Mahamid, and Doaa Khader Battah developed   a computerized system called (Arad) that determines the location of the accident at the moment of its occurrence. Arad is equipped with surveillance cameras inside and outside the car that capture the whole accident, damages, and injuries. The camera data is sent to a smartphone application accessible by traffic police, paramedics, civil defense, and insurance companies. In addition, the data are documented on a website by storing it in a database, which enables those working in the field of public services and insurance companies to follow up with the insured cars and be acquainted with how, where, and when the accident happened. They also obtain information about the owner of the car and a video or pictures showing the accident. It also helps paramedics and police be notified of the injuries and damages promptly to reduce deadly consequences.

It is important to mention that QOU’s Bethlehem Branch, under the directives of the Branch Director, Dr. Ali Salah, provided all the devices and tools for the project to be at the disposal of the students in the implementation period, in addition to a suitable workspace. The project Supervisor, Dr. Mohammad Ekhlil, and the laboratory technician, Mr. Monther Eghwair, monitored the progress of the project step by step. They directed students to take advantage of the local government’s maps to determine the location of the accident through the app accurately and urged them to communicate with the insurance companies to explore issues that need to be addressed in the system when the accident occurs.
