Under the patronage of Prof. Younes Amr, President of Al Quds Open University and Prof. Abdul Karim Al-Qudaah, President of the University of Jordan, Al-Quds Open University and the University of Jordan inaugurated the eighth Annual International Scientific Conference on “e-Business and e-Management Applications at Public and Private Organizations". The conference was inaugurated on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Faculty of Business at the University of Jordan campus.

Prof. Younes Amr said that this conference deals with a relatively new issue, especially at Arab organizations that is e-management and its applications. The adoption of e-business and e-management gives these organizations great advantages and  helps them meet customer needs, provides new alternatives, reduces costs, expands market size, achieves better profitability, provides data and information on a large, and facilitates exchange between buyers and sellers operations, and reduce the importance of the location element in the business.

Prof.  Abdul Karim Al-Qudaah, commented that the international conference comes from the big interest of the Jordanian universities and QOU in scientific research, which is one of their top priorities and one of their main objectives as the two universities aspire to achieve their global mission in spreading knowledge.

Dr. Yousef Abu Fara, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference and Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences at Al-Quds Open University, said that this annual international scientific conference focus on one of the outputs of the technological revolution, which is reflected in e-business and electronic management. Dr. Abu fara added that this conference focus on highlighting the importance of e-business and its role in the success of organizations, and tries to explain  ways of investment and harnessing applications and best practices in organizations. The conference also highlights the strategic advantages, operational areas and benefits of e-government applications, facilitating transactions and procedures and achieving high levels of quality of life directly and indirectly. Abu Fara also said” The conference addresses the various challenges that guide the applications of e-business and applications of electronic management, and provides constructive and effective suggestions to address those challenges."
