Under the patronage of the Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Ishtayyeh, The Faculty of Social and Family Development at Al-Quds Open University, the Ministry of Social Development, the Palestinian Social and Psychological Workers Union and the Granada College commemorated the World Day of Social Service under the slogan “Towards enhancing the importance of human relations”.

The Director of Nablus Branch, Prof.  Yousef Diab mentioned that QOU has paid big attention to the social service institutions, being the bodies responsible for training our students at the Faculty of Social and Family Development.

The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Family Development at Al-Quds Open University, Dr. Emad Ashtiyeh, presented a presentation on the integration of the main elements of training (student, supervisor, and academic supervisor) in achieving the objectives of field training. Mr. Asem Khamis, representative of the Ministry of social development, talked about the challenges facing the training of students in Social Work. Then Mr.  Fayez Fasfous, representative of the Association of Palestinian Social and Psychological Professionals, talked about the law regulating social service work in Palestine.

The ceremony included honoring the social institutions that supervised the training of the students of the Faculty of Social and Family Development and honoring the social workers in the social institutions who supervised the training of the students.
