Al-Quds Open University, represented by Dr. Ma'en Sheqwara, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, participated in the 9th International Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Development, held on 4-6 March 2019, at Fayoum University in Egypt. The conference was held in the context of exchanging the latest agricultural research outputs between universities and agricultural research centers in various agricultural, animal and horticultural specialties, field crops and fodder.  The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture participated as a rapporteur for the sessions  related to agricultural research and rural development.

On the sidelines of the conference, an expanded meeting was held for the representatives of universities. The meeting discussed academic research cooperation through  developing and updating the study plans at the faculties of agriculture, with a focus on the practical aspect and mechanisms for activating such cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that a meeting was held between the deans of the Faculties of Agriculture at Al-Quds Open University and Fayoum University where they discussed the importance of activating cooperation between the two universities in particular in different academic and research fields.
