Al-Quds Open University, through the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the University Branch in Yatta, and the Directorate of Education and Higher Education in Yatta, held meetings for the scientific and preparatory committees of the conference on School Dropout Phenomenon which shall be held in Yatta  under the patronage of HE Sabri Saidam, Minister of Education and Higher Education, on April 8,2019.  

Prof.  Majdi Zamel, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the Conference, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences said that the conference is in line with the directions of the faculty in highlighting the issues related to the educational system and is consistent with the mission of the University and Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Prof.  Zamel gave a detailed explanation of the presented abstracts, the arbitration mechanism, the criteria for arbitration, and the arrangements made by the Preparatory Committee for the conference.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Hroub, Yatta Branch Director, stressed the importance of this conference because it is held in partnership between Al Quds Open University and the Directorate of Education and Higher Education in Yatta, noting that the dropout rate in Yatta is the highest in the country and there is an urgent need for intervention to find solutions through the contributions from researchers participating in the conference.
