QOU participated in final conference proceedings of research centers which were established within the Erasmus+ project .
The first session was opened jointly by the Islamic University in Gaza and Birzeit University, in the presence of representatives of partner universities in the project: Al Quds Open University, Al Azhar University, Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden and the University of L'Aquila in Italy.
Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Selwadi, Erasmus+ project coordinator at the University, represented QOU and confirmed its role in supporting inter-university projects. Dr. Selwadi thanked the partners in the project, especially the Islamic University, the project leader, and thanked the Erasmus office represented by Dr. Nedal Al-Jayousi, Representative of the European Palestinian Cooperation Delegation for Higher Education, as well as Birzeit University represented by Dr. Samia al-Batma Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
The conference included two sessions, in which Al Quds Open University participated and presented a paper at the first session by Dr. Raslan Mohammed, who spoke about the administrative and economic research centers in Palestine in terms of challenges and sustainability. The second paper was represented by Dr. Mohamed Talalwa who presented a paper entitled: "Higher Council for Creativity and Excellence; is it the right step in the right direction" . The second session of the conference, which was chaired by Dr. Attia Musleh, Director of Planning and Quality Department at Al Quds Open University, and it included a paper represented by Dr. Salah Sabri, Director of the Center for Economic Management Research at the University, a paper entitled "The role and objectives of research centers in ensuring their sustainability". The conference is for two days, a joint day between the partner universities in the West Bank and Gaza, while the second day is only for the Islamic University.
