QOU President and the Turkish Cultural Attach' discuss ways of cooperation

Prof. Younis Amr, President of QOU and the Turkish Cultural Attaché in the Turkish consulate in Jerusalem, Riha Erm Jo discussed ways of cooperation in the academic field during a meeting held at QOU headquarter in Ramallah.

Prof. Amr welcomed the delegation and mentioned the development of the Palestinian-Turkish relations that that are rooted between the Palestinian and Turkish people. He stated that the cooperation between QOU and the Turkish universities has an old history through a number of agreements and MOUs. He also stressed the importance of the academic exchange and that QOU will make more efforts to improve the cooperation with more Turkish universities. Prof. Amr clarified that QOU is improving its system from the open learning to the blended learning system depending on the electronic learning tools.

The Turkish Cultural Attaché thanked QOU for the warm welcoming and indicated that Turkey is looking forward to build relations with different Arab countries and with Palestine in particular.  He mentioned that many students are studying in Turkey and there is an academic cooperation between Turkey and Palestinian universities.  

Dr. Abdulqader Staih, Ramallah section Director in the Turkish Cultural Center stated that the relations between the Turkish and Palestinian universities started by QOU and they are looking forward to more cultural cooperation between Palestine and Turkey. He stated that the center is willing to provide the facilities need to improve the capacities of the faculty members.
