The vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Samir Al-Najdi participated in a scientific visit in the UK that was organized by king College and London College of Political science and economics entitled “learning and teaching: professional improvement for employees of higher education”. The meeting was attended by 34 experts representing 17 countries including 4 Arab countries: Palestine, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.
Prof. Al-Najdi attended the visit representing Palestine on behalf of higher education improvement committee. The experts discussed ways of improving capacities of faculty members in countries around Europe and how to learn from the British experience in this field. The discussions focused on the education quality, learning through research, engaging students in the conducting researches and find balance between teaching and researching responsibilities.
A workshop will be held during next month to discuss this visit’s outputs that will be organized by QOU and Erasmus+ office in Palestine.
