QOU and Strategy Directives Sign an MoU

Al-Quds Open University, represented by its President, Prof. Samir Najdi and Strategy Directives, represented by its General Director, Mr. Khairy Abuljebain, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) via Zoom today, January 15.

The goal of this memorandum is to give QOU students the skills necessary for professions in the 21st. century to enable 1,500 university students to advance their education and meet job market demands.

The youth empowerment initiative, launched by Strategy Directives, aims to assess students' behavioral skills and personality traits using the Maharatkom platform, a test engine tool that uses Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics to provide a detailed candidate profile in behavioral, organizational, and situational skills related to the workplace. The reports resulting from the test will be matched with the courses available on online learning platforms such as the Edraak platform and others, to determine the training needs and develop the required skills.

Prof. Samir Najdi said that signing this MoU falls under the University's role in the development of the Palestinian society, contributing to the personal growth of students and graduates, encouraging them to positively serve the community in a variety of knowledge-based, scientific, and technological fields, and awarding them scientific degrees that are in line with the demands of the Palestinian and regional labor markets.

 

Mr. Khayri Abu Jbain, the General Director of Strategy Directives, emphasized that this strategic cooperation with "Al-Quds Open University" will empower students and graduates by providing them the necessary skills to attain leadership and succeed in workplace. It is worth noting that the "Directives Strategy" provides ground-breaking EdTech solutions in the fields of education, HR, government and security and implements social development projects that aim to empower individuals with the most required skills in the Arab world.

 

Dr. Salama Salem, the Dean of Student Affairs at Al-Quds Open University, mentioned that the agreement aims to "prepare students to meet the needs of the labor market, to compete in the local and regional markets, and to contribute effectively to scientific research, as well as build technical and human capacities, by providing educational and training programs in accordance with the best practices and methods of blended learning."

 

The signing was attended by the President of QOU, Prof. Samir Najdi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Husni Awad, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Salama Salem, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Director of the Alumni Follow-up Department, Dr. Iyad Shtayyeh, Director of the Public and International Relations and Media Department Mr. Awad Mashal, and Head of the Student Activities Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Mr. Bahaa Ibrahim.
