Prof. Dr. Samir Najdi, Chairman of the Social Responsibility Council of the Association of Arab Universities

 The Association of Arab Universities' Council has chosen Al-Quds Open University to host the Association of Arab Universities' Social Responsibility Council for the coming three years. This was stated in a letter from Dr. Amr Salama, the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities to Prof. Samir Najdi,  President of Al- Quds Open University. The letter included   that the council will have the membership of: Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, and the Presidents of Bayan University in Iraq, the University of Applied Sciences in Jordan, the University of Aden in Yemen, Harmuud University in Somalia, Majmaah University (MU) in Saudi Arabia, University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Al-Istiqlal University in Palestine, and Mansoura University in Egypt.

Prof. Najdi commented that QOU will put all its resources and capacities at the service of Arab universities in this rational and sound approach. It has prepared a team led by Prof. Youssef Diab Awwad, a social responsibility expert and the Director of the Al-Quds Open University branch in Tulkarm, and work is presently underway to construct an infrastructure that fulfills Arab standards.
