Two Student projects are amongst top ten in the International Communication Day

 Two QOU students’ projects were selected amongst top ten projects, selected during the World Communications Day event, which was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence, and the Palestine Computer Society PCSThe first project is titled:

“Designing and controlling a Human Hand Prosthesis by sensing muscles movement.”

Prepared by student Muhammad Al-Louh within the requirements of his study at the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences

The idea of the project aims to help arm amputees by designing a prosthesis and controlling it by sensing the movement of the muscle and a future action plan to make upper limb able to feel the things around it.

The second project entitled:

” controlling a smart house via mobile phone”

prepared by the students: Amjad Yahya Abu Samra, Husam Muhammad Abu al-Jbin, and Alaa Rafiq Awad .The idea of ??the project is to fully control the activities that occur in the smart house via a mobile phone, such as: lighting, electrical sockets, gas or water leaks, irrigation of home garden trees, turning on and off air conditioners, and opening and closing doors.

The Director of the Gaza Branch, Dr. Nader Helless said that the QOU encourages students to participate in various competitions to enhance students' skills in various fields, indicating that students in the faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences enjoy a high level of skills. Dr. Helless also emphasized the role of these participations in enhancing students' and highlighting their distinguished role and academic level.
