QOU Organizes Awareness Meeting of concept and Mechanisms of Comprehensive Quality Management

QOU organized a meeting to upgrade its employees awareness of the concept and mechanisms of implementing comprehensive quality management. The meeting took place in the Conference hall at the National Institute for Educational Training on June 26, 2005 and in parallel with the Vice President Office for Gaza Affairs via the closed Circuit Television.

The first speaker was Prof. Yunus Amr, University President, who delivered a speech in which he emphasized the university support for and commitment to the principle of implementing comprehensive quality management. He appreciated highly the efforts exerted by the Quality Control Department and all the university employees in this regard.

Then Mrs. Shadia Makhlouf, Director of Quality Control Department and organizer of the meeting, addressed the audience regarding the university achievements pertaining to comprehensive quality management and the department future. Mr. Farid Murra then followed to explain the concepts and ways of implementing comprehensive quality management. Also Dr. Sufyan Kamal, Vice President for Academic Affairs, talked about the concept of comprehensiveness of quality at universities. Finally, Mr. Muhammad al-Masri gave a talk on the feedback on implementing comprehensive quality management.

The meeting and discussions were run by Dr. Sameer Najdi, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, as moderator. Participants concluded the meeting by taking decisions and putting forward recommendations to be considered by the University President regarding the implementation and application of comprehensive quality management.

Meeting was attended by a large gathering of the university academics and administrators.
