Quality Control Department Participates in Quality Improvement Fund Workshop

Mr. Issam Khalil, QOU Financial Manager, and Mrs. Shadia Makhlouf, director of Quality Control Department participated in the quality improvement fund workshop which took place between 6-8 August 2005 at the Best Eastern Hotel at Irsal, Ramallah.

This workshop was held as part of receiving proposals for special projects within the framework of the higher education project funded by the World Bank.

The following were explained during the workshop:
1. How to design project proposals.
2. Procedures of applying for project proposals.
3. Policies and procedures pertaining to financial management and projects, budgets, follow-up and reports.

The deadline for submitting applications for projects will be September 29, 2005 for the first cycle. Applications for the second cycle will start on January 1, 2006. Institutions can apply for three projects. Among the projects that receive funds more than others are those related to developing information, human resources, building capabilities and programmes related to the market needs.
