The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the highest authority which governs the University. It is appointed by the President of the State of Palestine for a four-year term.
The trustees are chosen according to their qualifications, efficiencies and capabilities which enable them to shoulder the responsibility of fulfilling the University’s objectives.
According to QOU laws and regulations, President Mahmood Abbas (Abu Mazen) has issued the decree number (195) for the year 2006, when he appointed the following 14 prominent personalities as the new members of QOU Board of Trustees:

1.	Eng. Adnan N. Samarah	Deputy Secretary General of the Revolutionary Council of FATH (Chairperson of the Board of trustees)
2.	Prof. Reyad El-Khodary	Head, PLO Department of Education (Vice Chairperson)
3.	Prof. Dr. Abdelfattah Abu Shokor	Professor of Economics at An-Najah University, Nablus (Member)
4.	Dr. Aziz Shawabka	Physics Department-Birzeit University, (Member)
5.	Dr. Suleiman Al-Khalil	General Director for Scientific Research Centers / An-Najah University, (Member)
6.	Dr. Abdallah Abdel-Men’em	Deputy Minister for Higher Education (Member)
7.	Prof. Dr. Hani Najem	Coordinator of International Bank Project for Developing Higher Education (Member)
8.	Dr. Husein Al-Aaraj	An-Najah National University, Nablus (Member)
9.	Dr. Waleed Deeb	Secretary General of the Higher Education Council
10.	Mr. Hatem Abdelqader	Secretary General of the Regional committee of supporting Jerusalem
11.	Mr. Marwan Kanafani	Ex-member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC)
12.	Ms. Lamees Al-Alami	Minister of Education and Higher Education. (Member)
13.	Mr. Yousef Dajani	Head, East Jerusalem Electricity Company
14.	Prof. Dr. Younis Amro	QOU President, (Member)
