The Achievements of the Directorate of Administrative Affairs for 2004
Quality Assurance
The remarkable expansion of Al-Quds Open University obliges its administration to increase the size and promote the quality of its services. It is necessary for the university administration to work within an administrative system that respects the common view, and believes in the interaction within the administration that cares for the means and goals of the university in a totalitarian way. This type of administration moves the minds and feelings of its members to guard and apply the message and aims of the university regardless the difference of their level in the administration. In this way, employees are transformed to partners who are gathered around a unifying target, develop within them personal supervision, and help them to free their capabilities and abilities. These personal traits create a suitable climate to develop the employees’ loyalty, faithfulness and commitment to perform their duties with true desire.
During the upsurge of Al-Aqsa Intifada started in September 2000, the university administrative attendance was regular as a whole because of previously administrative procedures despite what the Palestinian cities were exposed to, such as blockades, closures, and invasions by the Israeli Army. The administrative attendance in some educational regions and centers was affected by curfews and invasions, but the ratio of the administrative attendance in the university exceeded 90% in the average.
2003/2004 Plan:
In cooperation with the Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC), the following university departments and units have been computerized:
- The Department of Employees Affairs; members of this department were given a training course held in every region to teach them how to apply this computerized system.
- The Department of Requirements, Bids and Purchases; a training course was held for the employees of this department to provide them with the necessary information of how to apply this computerized system.
- The System of Administrative Attendance for the university employees.
- The University Archive.
