History and Location of Jenin Educational Region:

It was established as a Study Center in 1991, and was a part of Nablus Educational Region. When first it inaugurated, there were only 203 students, but in 1998 it reached to 1487 students, that was, one year before its promotion as an Educational Region.

Jenin Educational Region is located in the northern part of Jenin, and Jenin Study Center is in the southern part of the city. The number of students in the academic year 2006/2007 is 6468 in both; The Educational Region and the Study Center; 4942 students are in the former and 1520 in the latter. Jenin Educational Region is located now in two rented buildings of 4500 square meters, and Jenin Study Center is located in a-three storey building of 1200 square meters.

There are 37 full-time and 179part-time academic supervisors in Jenin Educational Region and in Jenin Study Center. There were 5 administrators in 1991/1992, but now there are 67; 48 in Jenin Educational Region and 19 in Jenin Study Center.
