Course Work Plan, Examinations and Grading
All applicants must submit an application for admission to Al-Quds Open University on condition that s/he meets the following specific admission requirements:
- Course work includes all activities required from learners during a semester such as:
- Attending the minimum number of class meeting with the academic supervisor.
- Answering all assignments and submitting them on time.
- Working on required practical or laboratory reports and submitting them on time.
- Taking for the mid-term examination.
- Taking for the Final Examination.
- Learners are not allowed to sit for the Final examination if she has not submitted at least one assignment per-course.
- Learners should personally hand in their assignments at their education region before the deadline of submitting them. They also have to sit for their examinations on the assigned dates.
- Learners who miss the final exam for accepted excuses are graded “incomplete” until they are granted makeup exam. In case of missing the mid-term exam, the learner gets the grade of the final exam on condition that his excuse is accepted by QOU administration.
- A learner who is judged to have failed a course has to get the examination if the course, according to the curriculum plan, is a compulsory course. As for elective courses, the student has the choice of either retaking the exam or choosing an alternative course form another academic program.
- The minimum passing grade for each course is (50%).
