Program of Administrative and Economic Sciences
Introduction
In accordance with the mission of Al Quds Open University and in compliance with the requirements of scientific and technological development, the Administration and Entrepreneurship program has initiated specialized scientific sections in business administration, accounting, marketing and economy. The Program has also updated some aspects. The title of the Program for instance was changed from “Management and Entrepreneurship Program” to “Administrative and Economic Sciences Program” so that it may cover a wide range of relevant specializations which aim at producing competent and qualified graduates.
The Program has introduced new scientific specializations in order to keep abreast of the accelerating development in various fields of knowledge, and to turn out qualified graduates capable of self-management in private and public sectors. The curricula of “Administrative and Economic Sciences Program”, based on the philosophy of commitment to the academic attitude, have taken into consideration the importance of availing the opportunity and encouraging the outstanding students to continue their higher education in various fields.
The Program General Objectives:
With the objectives of developing the skills and capabilities of our students, based on the university’s philosophy, the Administrative and Economic Sciences Program focuses on the following:
- Understanding the theories, methods and functions of the Administrative Sciences.
- Understanding the nature of economy, the factors affecting its performance level, utilizing the theories and the functions of Administrative Sciences to support the development of economy in different sectors.
- Understanding the mutual influence between the local environment and the outside world as regards to the administrative, marketing, accounting, economic and financial fields.
- Acquiring the ability to analyze and explain phenomena in the business environment as well as connecting variables, thus a student will be able to combine knowledge with the ability to conduct various analyses which is the basic pillar on which science stands.
- Acquiring the skills relevant to the quantitative methods particularly in the fields of computer and administrative information systems so as to rationalize the process of taking decisions at the administrative level in various product and service units.
