Education Program

The education program at the university comes as a fulfillment for the university's philosophy and educational goals which are represented in the efforts to develop the educational systems in Palestine as well as in the Arab societies in order to meet the current and future needs of these societies. This can be achieved through educating the Palestinian and Arab individuals, investing in their abilities and building their practical and scientific skills. Moreover, educating the individual and increasing his productivity should go through upgrading his proficiency in modern technology and utilizing it in education and training. Therefore, the education program depends on the modern educational technology as the basis for its development. It also uses as much as possible the latest methods in education and learning and the most efficient methods of measurement and evaluation to test the degree of achievement of its educational goals.

The education program is based on the concept of open education and therefore offers educational opportunities for every citizen who is willing to pursue his studies regardless of age, residence or work position through providing the latest techniques in the education field. This is done by the use of certain well-designed courses which aim at the continuity of improving the performance of educators and helping them cope with the current developments in the field of education.

General Goals of the Program:

The goals of the program are part of the university’s mission and the individual educational needs. The most important goals are:

1. Preparing human resources capable of meeting the essential needs in schools especially in the field of training teachers and preparing them to teach in basic and secondary schools.
2. Expanding the educational opportunities and varying the educational programs in order to increase the choices for the largest number of learners in all the fields of education.
3. Developing the qualifications of teachers who work at schools and who hold community college degrees by giving them the chance to pursue their education and get B.A degrees in education.
4. Providing teacher training for those who are interested in working as teachers among those who hold B.A degrees in academic subjects in order to get a teaching diploma.
