QOU hosted a two-days training workshop organized by the Palestinian European Cooperation Mission (Erasmus +), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. This training workshop is one of the ROMOR Project “Research Output Management through Open Access Institutional Repositories in Palestinian Higher Education Institutions” activities
Four Palestinian universities are currently participating in the project: QOU, Birzeit, Khadouri, and the Islamic university, as well as four European universities.
Dr. Nedal -Jayousi thanked the Ministry of Education and the participating universities for their interaction and interest in the project. He pointed out that ROMOR is a pilot project implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and is now being circulated to all higher education institutions.
Prof. Samir Al Najdi stressed the University's interest in scientific research, especially through the ROMOR project, which is supported by Erasmus+. Al-Najdi also praised the Ministry of Education's interest in scientific research and improving its outputs and allocating money to support scientific research, which confirms its keenness to develop this sector. He also emphasized the University's interest in establishing partnerships with local and European universities in the field of scientific research.
