QOU won the first and second places in “solve it challenge” organized by the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence during International Entrepreneurship week that was held in the Palestinian energy incubator in Jericho. Seven students from QOU were nominated among 40 nominees from the national universities in the contest.
The first place was granted to Mo’ayad Salim Mahmoud Nasr from “Ruwad” team, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences in Nablus branch. The second place was awarded to Hakam Adeeb Abdulaziz Amr from “SSL” team, faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences in Hebron branch, and to Doa’ Musbah Mohammed from “Damas” team, Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences in Nablus branch.
Razan Nasr, the chief of the challenge in the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence transmitted her greetings to QOU and the winning students and said, “We are proud of our strategic partnership with QOU, we are proud of those students who were committed and dedicated”.
Dr. Yousef Abu Fara, the dean of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences stated that this achievement made by our students reflects the quality of education at QOU and the university will keep on improving itself in this field.
Prof. Mohammed Shahin, vice president for students’ affairs delivered the university president’s greetings and said that this achievement is one of the many achievements of our students inside and outside Palestine. Beside this achievement, QOU won the second place in the students’ creativity forum organized by the association of Arab universities in UAE, our students; Sonia Damayrah and Jihan Damayrah under the supervision of Prof. Fat-hallah Ghanem won the second place for their research paper entitled: “transforming pioneering ideas to small projects and promote them via social media”.
