QOU holds "Transformations in the Contemporary Narrative Discourse in Palestine" Conference

Under the auspices of the University President. Prof. Younes Amr, and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Culture Dr. Ihab Bseiso,  Al Quds Open University in the Gaza Strip and through the video conference with the West Bank held a conference entitled "Transformations in the Contemporary Narrative Discourse in Palestine” .

The conference included sixteen research papers covering the conference's themes, distributed over three scientific sessions.

The first session began with the presentation of five research papers, the first was presented by Dr. Abdul Rahim Hamdan, entitled “Manifestation of intertextuality in the novel (Defaf Al Bawh) , Dr. Atef Abu Hamada presented  a scientific paper entitled "Time structure in (Number) novel by the writer Khalil Hassouna," Ms. Suheir Shurrab and Mr.  Mohammed Issa discussed in their joint research "The structure of personality in Al Sabeiya Novel”, Dr.  Salman Abu Mualla presented a scientific paper titled "Modernity of Narrative in the Contemporary Palestinian Novel". The first session was concluded by a scientific paper presented by Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Habeel entitled "Synthetic and Cultural Patterns in Mesk Al Kefaya novel".  At the end of the session, the discussion was opened to the audience.

The second session, also included 5 papers, the first was presented by Mr. Basel Hamda , entitled "Keeping up with the  novel of the Palestinian political scene". Dr. Said Ayyad presented a paper entitled "Palestinian Cultural Discourse between the Reasonableness of Reality and the Sufism of the Revolution ". Mr. Hussein Darawshe presented a Research paper entitled "The Language of Contemporary Novelist Discourse in the novels of Palestinian detainees". Dr. Mohamed Ismail Hassouna and Ms. Abeer Yacoubi presented their joint research "The image of the child in the novel (When the river is exposed),” The session was concluded with a scientific paper presented by Dr. Zin El-Din El Abidine Al-Awawdah entitled "The Distinctive Text in the narrative discourse of the contemporary Palestinian novelist”  Rabie Madhoun in his novel  "Lady of Tel Aviv" and "The destinies of Holocaust and Nakba Concerto" as a model. "At the end of the meeting the discussion was opened  to the audience.

The third session discussed six scientific papers; Dr. Medhat Dardouna presented research paper entitled "The Language of Emotional Relations between Men and Women in the Modern Palestinian Novel" (between the hint and the statement). Dr. Samira Sattoum and Ms. Iman Abu Shaaban presented a joint research paper entitled "Storytelling in the Palestinian Novel" (I saw Ramallah) as a model, Ms. Maysoun Al Shanbari presented a research paper entitled "Biography and Self-Imagination at  Sahar  Khalifa writings" (My First Love), a Model. Ms Amal Al-Masriifi discussed "modern narratives in the novel (dry throat) of ghareeb  Asqlani," and Dr. Tawfiq Al-Louh presented a research paper entitled "The aesthetics of speech and reception in the contemporary Palestinian novel: a descriptive and analytical study".

The third session ended with a scientific paper presented by Dr. Fouad Abu Hamada, entitled "The chronological construction of the story of" Umm Saad "by Ghassan Kanafani (A Study of the Significance of Time and His Journey in the Novel). At the end of the session, the discussion was opened to the audience.

At the end of the conference,  Dr.Jihad al-Batsh , the Vice President for the Gaza Strip Branch, thanked the researchers and the preparatory and scientific committees, and all who contributed to the success of the conference.
