QOU receives a Handbook of the Ottoman Palestine Place Names and Atlas

 Within the framework of cooperation between the University and the Cultural Attaché at the Turkish consulate in Jerusalem, The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Samir Najdi on behalf of QOU President Prof. Younes Amr, received A Handbook of the Ottoman Palestine Place Names and Atlas from Dr. Abdalqader Steih, Director of the Turkish Cultural Center in Ramallah (Yunus Emre).

It is noteworthy that the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce launched the Handbook of the Ottoman Palestine Place Names and Atlas with the aim of documenting Palestinian maps and properties from the sixteenth century to use them in international human rights forums.

The Atlas includes several maps of Palestine and its various districts, and tables with names written in three languages:Turkish, Arabic and English.
