QOU signs a memorandum of understanding with the Confucius Institute

 Al-Quds Open University, together with Al-Quds University, represented by the Confucius Institute, signed a memorandum of understanding on teaching Chinese at  Al-Quds Open University. The signing ceremony took place in the office of Prof. Imad Abu Kishek, the President of Al-Quds University, who signed the MOU with the President of Al-Quds Open University Prof. Younes Amr, in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Palestine, H.E. Guo Wei, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Quds Open University and President of the Palestinian-Chinese Friendship Association Eng. Adnan Samara, and the Palestinian Deputy Ambassador to China Counselor Dr. Shadi Khalayleh.

The MoU includes cooperation in the field of teaching Chinese language through the Faculty of Arts at Al-Quds Open University and the Confucius Institute, which is hosted by Al-Quds University.

It is noteworthy that The Confucius Institute, is the first and only of its kind in Palestine, and was launched in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Palestine. The institute offers a wide range of scientific and cultural programs, such as teaching Chinese language, and programs in Chinese studies.
